The New SOMATOM 64-slice CT
Launched in November 2017 at the Radiological Society of North America Annual Convention in Chicago, Illinois, the new scanner features high-end capabilities seen only in 128 slice and higher CTs. Studies are automated and can be run using a built-in tablet. It boasts of lower radiation dose thanks to tin filter, stellar detector, and iterative reconstruction. It can perform CT angiograms except for coronary CTA, low dose lung nodule screening, automatic spine and rib numbering, bone subtraction, dual energy kidney stone, and gout scanning, CT colonography, brain perfusion, oncology studies and many more.
Now we have faster scanning, fewer motion artifacts and shorter breath-hold times. A better patient experience, and high-quality imaging in one!
